Ms. Weimer is a litigation attorney specializing in equine law, veterinary malpractice, and commercial business litigation, with trial and arbitration experience. Ms. Weimer has a practice-area focus on the Uniform Commercial Code in litigation. She is also a trademark attorney. Ms. Weimer has taught Continuing Legal Education classes on Deposition Tactics, Evidence, and the Right to Repair – the John Deere Litigation. Ms. Weimer is licensed in the State of Maryland and the U.S. District of Maryland.
When she is not in trial, Ms. Weimer enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs, and riding horses on the farm.
Ms. Weimer has lifelong experience in agricultural, equine, and canine ventures, both professionally and personally. Ms. Weimer worked for both the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (“KDA”), specializing in international trade at KDA. Ms. Weimer clerked for U.S. District Judge Claria Horn Boom, who is a U.S. District Judge for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. Ms. Weimer trained dogs professionally for 17 years. Ms. Weimer is a Prix St. George’s level dressage rider and represented both the USA and Australia at international equine competitions.
Ms. Weimer was recognized in the January 2025 Maryland Super Lawyers magazine as a 2025 Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star in the fields of Business Litigation and Equine Law. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (“MSBA”) and was voted Chair of the MSBA Agriculture Law Section for the 2025-2026 term.
Ms. Weimer attended the University of Kentucky for all her higher education, including a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a Minor in Modern and Classical Languages: German; a Master of Arts in International Commerce and Intelligence and Security from the Patterson School of Diplomacy, and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the UK Rosenberg College of Law.
