About Duane

While Duane is interested in all civil law practice areas, he focuses his practice on advocacy and litigation involving real estate and commercial matters in Maryland state and federal courts, including the Bankruptcy Court, as well as the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, and in administrative hearings.

Experience

Duane has over 15 years of experience helping others avoid or resolve real
estate and commercial disputes.

In his real estate litigation practice, Duane has represented commercial and
residential landlords, tenants, owners, contractors, and real estate brokers and
their agents. These real estate matters range from routine lease or purchase/sale
issues to complex, multiparty disputes involving bankruptcy, construction defects,
ethics and standards of practice, foreclosures, and the various laws, regulations,
and standards which govern the use and sale of real property and the
organizations and individuals involved.

In his commercial law and litigation practice, Duane has helped hundreds of
companies and individuals avoid and/or resolve disputes. In many matters, that
means a properly drafted agreement or a negotiated resolution without extended
litigation. In others, however, clients have relied upon Duane to successfully
prosecute or defend their interests in the relevant forum through final decision
and judgment.
